Baptism

Are you thinking about Baptism (sometimes called a Christening) for your child?

Or maybe you are thinking about being baptised as an adult? Either way, The Anglican Parish of Dungog would be happy to help you in taking these next steps in your Christian journey.

Rev. Kim and a member of our Baptism pastoral team will meet with you before the baptism. This can be at your home, a cafe, or wherever works for you! This will not be a long discussion, but it is important to know what you are agreeing to become a part of when you engage in the Christian sacrament of Baptism. This meeting must occur before the baptism.

The Baptism will take place within a service on a Sunday morning service or at our 5pm Contemporary Service (Sunday Nite, 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month) or a 5pm Bendolba service (1st and 3rd Sundays of the month).

At this stage we are not offering private baptisms.

Baptism means that the person who is baptised becomes part of a community of people that hold the Christian faith, and it is important to meet these brothers and sisters within that community prior to joining it!

There is no cost for baptism. However, if you would like to make a contribution in the form of a donation to the life and work of the parish, this would be gratefully accepted.

All are invited to be baptised if you have not been baptised before.

Please send us a message below and Rev. Kim will be in touch!
