Baptism

Are you thinking about Baptism (sometimes called a Christening) for your child?

Or maybe you are thinking about being baptised as an adult? Either way, The Anglican Parish of Dungog would be happy to help you in taking these next steps in your Christian journey.

Rev. Kim and a member of our Baptism pastoral team will meet with you before the baptism. It is asked that you attend at least one church service before the baptism, and this can be a service at a centre of your choice (even if the baptism is taking place at a different centre).

Baptism means that the person who is baptised becomes part of a community of people that hold the Christian faith and it is important to meet these brothers and sisters within that community prior to joining it!

Usually the discussion about the Baptism and Baptism promises will occur after the service. This will not be a long discussion, but it is important to know what you are agreeing to become apart of when you engage in the Christian sacrament of Baptism. All are invited to be baptised if you have not been baptised before.

Please send us a message below and Rev. Kim will be in touch!
